God’s Mountain is a camp ministry in Missouri. We will be going there to assist them as they prepare for their summer camp schedule. This trip may involve painting, some minor construction work, clean-up, and what ever they need as they prepare for teens to arrive at camp this summer. You will also be challenged to step out of your comfort zone as we go to area communities to help invite teens to camp. Cary Christian Center - Cary, Mississippi - Dates: May 29- June 10 (High School only)First ChoiceSecond ChoiceThird ChoiceThe Cary Christian Center is located in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, close to the mighty Mississippi River, and serves people who are trapped in poverty. It’s an area where there is a deep sense of hopelessness and despair and the Cary Christian Center has chosen as their mission to “break the cycle of poverty through relationships one person at a time.” TFC has partnered with the Cary Christian Center for many years so we know that this trip is guaranteed lots of work. We may be shingling, painting, sheet rocking, working in a thrift store, etc., and doing it all in the context of building relationships with people so we can play a role in helping them break out of the cycle of poverty as we touch them with the hope of Jesus Christ. You won’t be leaving the country on this trip but it will provide you with a great cross cultural experience and move you way outside of your comfort zone too!Cuenca, Ecuador - Dates: May 28 –June 7 (High School only)First ChoiceSecond ChoiceThird ChoiceOn this trip we will be working with Carlos and Sarah Labriel who are missionaries for World Venture in Cuenca, Ecuador. Our team will be joining them in the adventure of distributing information about the new church they are starting in Cuenca. We will have the opportunity to experience a new culture as we immerse ourselves in the Ecuadorian culture and learn how to share our faith with the people there. We may also be given the opportunity to help with the desperate needs of the Venezuelan refugees living in the city. As we experience the life of a missionary in a foreign country, we will be doing it under the careful guidance and support of Sarah, who knows TFC well because she went on TFC mission trips as a teenager! They are very excited about TFC coming to work with them in Cuenca and will make this an unforgettable mission trip experience. *Please note, this is an UPPER LEVEL trip. Only students who have shown spiritual maturity and have gone on a previous mission trip will be considered for this trip. YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT FOR THIS TRIP.
